How I spend a MOM(ent) with myself.

I always want to give my time, a joke or food to others, because I like to see them happy, but if I don't remember to fill my cup back up spiritually as well as physically, I'll have nothing beneficial to give. And trust me, I've poured from an empty cup several times before, and it left me in a deficit physically and mentally.


One of the things I like to do to soothe and rejuvenate myself is to take a bath.

Starting with very warm water, I always add Epsom salt to my bath water. Epsom salt helps to remove tension in sore muscles and relax your body as well.


Then, if you’re not prone to sensitive skin, add your favorite toxic free scented bath salt, foam/soap or bomb.

Using gentle products infused with essential oils, will not only benefit your skin, but provides aromatherapy (keyword therapy) and can release "endorphins" which are hormones that give off a feel-good sensation. This relaxes the mind and body, relieves stress and obviously uplifts your mood.

My favorite relaxing and soothing essentials oils of mine are lavender, Roman chamomile, sandalwood, and lemongrass.


If you really have time, don’t forget to light your favorite candle and put that phone away! This is your time to separate yourself from the outside world (even the kids and family in the other room) and indulge in some me time. Every Mom deserves her own Mom(ent).
